"Employees Are Afraid to Have Children, and Companies Can't Retain Talent!" How many people does this headline speak to?

AN-AN Shiquan Women and Children Clinic's Dr. Tsai Eing-Mei, in her capacity as President of the Taiwan Society for Reproductive Medicine, was recently featured in a special report by Global Views Monthly —
"Employees Are Afraid to Have Children, and Companies Can't Retain Talent!"
How many people does this headline speak to?

In the report, Dr. Tsai put forward two very practical calls to action:
enlightened1. Establish a "Statutory Leave for Infertility Treatment"
Infertility treatment requires frequent clinic visits and strict adherence to treatment schedules.
Many patients silently struggle between their careers and their journey to parenthood.
This shouldn't be left to the goodwill of individual employers —
it needs to be clearly protected at the institutional level.

enlightened2. Include Spouses in Leave Entitlements
This journey has never been one person's burden to carry alone.
Allowing husbands to take leave and accompany their partners
is what it truly means to face this together —
not one person shouldering it all, but two.
The government should not rely solely on corporate goodwill.
Clear institutional frameworks must be established.

We couldn't agree more.
Because what we see every day in our clinic
are couples who quietly hold it together, never daring to say they're tired.
We hope that one day, it won't have to be this hard.
